What devices are supported?
Lightframer Pro requires an iPhone running iOS 17 or later. The app is optimized for iPhone and uses the rear camera for the AR viewfinder.
How accurate is the sun tracking?
Sun position calculations use your precise GPS location and astronomical algorithms. Golden hour, blue hour, sunrise, and sunset times are accurate to within a few minutes for your exact location.
Which cameras and lenses are included?
Lightframer Pro includes a growing library of professional cinema cameras from ARRI, RED, Sony, Canon, Blackmagic, Panasonic, DJI, and more, along with popular lens series. We add new gear with regular updates.
Can I use custom aspect ratios?
Yes. In addition to standard ratios like 2.39:1, 1.85:1, 16:9, and 4:3, you can set any custom aspect ratio for your frame lines.
Does the app work offline?
The viewfinder, camera database, and frame lines work without an internet connection. Sun tracking requires GPS but does not need cellular data once your location is determined.
How do I export photos with metadata?
Tap the capture button in the viewfinder, then choose an export style. Each export includes a metadata strip with your camera, lens, focal length, aspect ratio, sun position, compass heading, and white balance.

Privacy
Lightframer Pro respects your privacy. Location data is used only for sun position calculations and is never transmitted to external servers. Camera data stays on your device. We do not collect analytics or personal information.
